Obituary for Aldo Joseph (Al) DellAntonio
Aldo Joseph “Al” DellAntonio, 96, of Clearfield, passed away Sunday July 7, 2013 at his residence.
Born August 22, 1916 in Chambersville, Indiana County, he was the son of Franklin and Mariella (Longo) DellAntonio. Mr. DellAntonio was a Auto Mechanic and then after receiving his Realtor’s License, opened his own Real Estate Office in Indiana County. He is a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Clearfield, was an Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II, was a member of the Indiana VFW, and the Pennsylvania Real Estate Association.
On July 3, 1948 in Ernest, PA, he wed the former Elizabeth Marie “Libby” DiTullio who survives along with 3 children. Jean Ann DellAntonio of Clearfield, Joseph F. DellAntonio of Olanta, and John D. DellAntonio and wife Kay of Curwensville.
Also surviving are 6 grandchildren: Nichole, Allison, and Mark DellAntonio all of Curwensville, Amy Rosacker and husband Blake of Okinawa, Japan, Laura DellAntonio of Clearfield, and Julie DellAntonio of Philadelphia as well as 2 great grandchildren Tessa and Gwyneth Rosacker. In addition a sister-in-law Mabel Runco DellAntonio of Michigan also survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Irma and 3 brothers Guido, Mario and John “Jack”. He was the last member of his generation.
A public Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Clearfield on Wednesday July 10, 2013 at 10:00 AM, with Msgr H. Desmond McGee Jr. as celebrant.
Visitation will be private for the family.
The family suggests contributions be made to the St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund 212 S. Front Street Clearfield, PA 16830.
