Obituary for Barbara Jean Young
Barbara J. Young, 69, of Clearfield, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 23, 2013 at the Clearfield Hospital.
 
Born March 16, 1944 in Colver, PA, she was the daughter of William Henry Sr. and Anna Mary (Gallagher)  Shepler.  Mrs. Young retired from the Clearfield Hospital with 30 plus years of service having last served in the capacity of Medical Surgical Clerk. She was a member of and served many years as President of AFSME local chapter.  She was protestant.
 
On March 11, 1962 in Curry Run, she wed James L. Young Jr. who survives along with 2 children.  Lori Ellen Burke and husband David of Chester, VA and James L. Young III and wife Carla of New Millport,.  Also surviving are 4 grandchildren Kevin Robert Hepfer and wife Brandi, Joshua Aron Hepfer and fiancée Stormy Weatherburn, Breanna Rae Hepfer and Cory James Young.
 
In addition she is survived by 8 brothers and sisters:  James Shepler and Kathie Hamilton and husband Denny both of Hyde, Bob Shepler and wife Gloria of Glen Richey, Agnes Hunt and husband Earl “Butch” of Curwensville, Bonnie Turner of Munson, Janet Peters and husband Tom of Penfield, Richard Shepler and wife Darlene of New Jersey and Dan Shepler and wife Debbie of Clearfield.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents, twin infant daughters Pamela and Patsy Young, an infant grandson Ryan Young, sisters Bertha Hunt and Mary Young, and brothers William and Clair Shepler.
 
Funeral Services for Mrs. Young will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Friday April 26, 2013 at 2 PM, with the Reverend Sean P. Smith officiating.  Internment will be in the Watts Cemetery, Bells Landing, PA.
 
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday April 25 from 6 to 9 PM, and Friday from 12 Noon until time of services.
 
The family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
