Obituary for Barbara Lynn Cathcart
Barbara Lynn Cathcart, 57, of Curwensville, passed away Wednesday April 7, 2021 at Penn Highlands Hospital – Clearfield.
Born May 21, 1963 in Meadville, PA, she was the daughter of Edward and Joan (Frain) Knepp. Mrs. Cathcart had worked in construction, housekeeping, was a waitress, and had recently worked at the Hampton Inn of Clearfield in the kitchen.
She loved Cats, the Ocean, Lake Erie, and the Moon.
On December 28, 1978 in Dillon, SC, she wed Max “Mike” Cathcart who survives, along with a daughter Chasity Barrett and husband Jerry of Curwensville, 2 grandchildren Brooke and Jerry and her mother of Curwensville.
Also surviving are 2 brothers and a sister: Norman Knepp and wife Sabrina and Thomas Knepp both of Curwensville and Tracy Bishoff of Dunkirk, NY.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral Services for Barbara Cathcart will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Tuesday April 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Scott Schultz officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery Curwensville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM.
