Boardman: Betty J. Rebar 87, of Boardman passed away Monday June 5, 2023 at her residence after a brief illness.
Born September 1, 1935 in Boardman she was the daughter of William P. and Alfreada (Deutch) Bray. She had worked for Clearfield Cheese Co., Sylvania and Shortway Products.
On June 3, 1960 she wed Leonard J. Rebar.
She is survived by 2 sons Leonard “Lenny” Rebar II (Tara) of Grampian, and William “Bill” Rebar companion Cindy Shank of Boardman. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren Elizabeth “Betsy” Rebar McGarry (Chris), Jamie Stephens (Travis), Emma Rebar, and Abby Rebar. 3 great grandchildren Peyton Perks, Willow Stephens and Kaelan McGarry. And a sister Ann Reed of Levittown, PA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard J. Rebar, and a sister Emma Jean Coles.
Funeral Services for Betty Rebar will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Friday June 9, 2023 at 11 AM with Mr. Edward Putt officiating. Interment will follow in the Fruit Hill Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Thursday June 8, 2023 from 4-7 PM and on Friday from 10 AM till the time of services at 11 AM.
