Obituary for Betty Jean Leonard
Betty Jean Leonard, 91, of Johnstown, PA and formerly of Curwensville, passed away Monday May 11, 2015 at the Conemaugh Valley Memorial Hospital in Johnstown, PA after a brief illness. Â

Born January 12, 1924 in Lumber City, PA, she was the daughter of Howard and Marguerite (Hipps) McCully.  Mrs. Leonard was a homemaker, had worked as a seamstress for the former Kent’s Sportswear in Curwensville, and also had been a hygienist for Dr. Williams. She was United Methodist by Faith.

She had wed George A. Leonard on August 7, 1943 in Curwensville and who preceded her in death on October 24, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother Harrington McCully and a sister Barbara Johnson.

Surviving is a daughter Sandra Wise and her husband Robert Jr. of Johnstown, a grandson Robert L. Wise III and wife K.C. of Pittsburgh, PA and a great grandson Alex Wise. Also surviving is a brother Keith McCully and wife Almeda of Washington, PA and a sister Delphine Williams of Akron, OH.

There will be no public visitation and a Memorial Service will be conducted at a later dated. Interment will be in the Lumber City Cemetery, Lumber City, PA
