Obituary for Betty Mae Wilson
Betty Mae (O’Dell) Wilson, 94, of Curwensville, a recent resident of Marion Manor Personal Care Home of Curwensville, passed away Wednesday evening January 6, 2015 at Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Born January 8, 1921 in Munson, PA, she was the daughter of George and Mary (Magilton) O’Dell. Mrs. Wilson was raised in the Cross Keys Section of Houtzdale, PA. She was a homemaker, was a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church where she was a member of the United Methodist Women, the Progressor’s Sunday School Class, and had also taught the Kindergarten Sunday School Class. She was a former member of the Clearfield Hobby Garden Club.

On December 30, 1941 in Winchester, VA, she wed John W. Wilson who preceded her in death on December 13, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are a daughter and son; Judy Ardary and husband Gordon of Curwensville and George Wilson and wife Pam of Chestnut Grove. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren Holly Bressler and husband Matt of Glen Richey, Christine Caldwell of Curwensville, Christopher Wilson and wife Megan of DuBois and Melissa Price and husband Neal of Oakdale, PA.

In addition there are 9 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a sister Martha Jean Roos and husband Bob of Clearfield as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Wilson will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Saturday January 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Dr. Robert S. Ludrowsky officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville, PA.Â

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday January 8 from 5 to 8 PM and again on Saturday from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM.
