Obituary for Beverly Jean Spencer
Beverly Jean Spencer, 82, a resident of Ridgeview Elder Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and formerly of Curwensville, passed away Friday May 30, 2014 at the center after a lengthy illness.

Born December 21, 1931 in Curwensville, she was the daughter of Edwin and Gay (Douglas) Anderson. Ms. Spencer had work for Clearfield County Government as a secretary in various offices, had also worked in the former Clearfield Hospital School of Nursing and The Progress in Clearfield.

She was a member of the Curwensville Presbyterian Church, the GFWC Woman’s Club of New Millport, and AFSCME Clearfield Local.

Surviving are three children: Edwin Dean Spencer and wife Cindy of Fort Collins, CO, Randy W. Spencer and wife Virginia of Curwensville, and Sherry S. Greenland of Woodland.

Also surviving are 8 grandchildren: Scott Spencer, Bethany Livergood and husband Bob, Erin Leigh Spencer, Jarrett Spencer and wife Vanessa, Angel James and husband Mitch, Daniel J. Greenland Jr., Mikhail Greenland, and Nikki Greenland, and 6 great grandchildren: Eli Barrett, Rex Livergood, Cheryl Livergood, Brody Swanson, Milo Greenland, and Eva Greenland, and a brother Carl Anderson of Curwensville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Gay Anderson, an infant brother Kenneth Anderson a sister-in-law Jeanne Anderson, and a son-in-law Daniel J. Greenland Sr.

Funeral Services for Beverly Spencer will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Tuesday June 3, 2014 at 11:00 AM, with Mr. Gary B. Jewart Officiating, Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde, PA

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 AM until time of services.
