Obituary for Brenda Marie Proud
Brenda Marie Proud, 59, of Curwensville, passed away early Wednesday morning April 20, 2016 at her residence.
Born January 19, 1957 in Clearfield, PA, she was the daughter of Robert E. and Lois (Cramer) Riddle. Mrs. Proud had worked for several banks including Clearfield Bank and Trust Co., Keystone, Integra and Northwest Savings Bank, then had been a book keeper for Lezzer Lumber Co. in Curwensville and last had worked in the Cash Office for Lowes Home Improvement Store in Clearfield where she retired from.
She was a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church where she had participated in the annual “Search for Peace” Pageant and was a former member of the GFWC Woman’s Club of Curwensville.
On October 4, 1975 in the Curwensville United Methodist Church, she wed Glenn E. Proud who survives along with her parents of Curwensville, two sons Erik Proud and wife Charis and Jason Proud and wife Stacie both of Curwensville and four grandsons Colby and Caleb Proud and Gavin and Gage Roos.
Funeral Services for Brenda Proud will be held at the Curwensville United Methodist Church on Saturday April 23, 2016 at 11:00 AM with the Reverend Charles Gummo officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville.
Friends and family will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Friday April 22 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM and again on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, when the procession will depart for the church.
The family suggests contributions be made to the Curwensville United Methodist Church 602 State Street Curwensville, PA 16833.
