Carl E. Young
DuBois: Carl E. Young 92 of Clearfield passed away Tuesday August 29, 2023 at Christ The King Manor in DuBois.
Born April 22, 1931 in Clearfield he was the son of Phillip and Thelma (Houdeshell) Young. He was a heavy equipment operator working for Rishel Excavating, Penndot, and also worked for James Hoyt heating and plumbing.
He is survived by 3 children Martin S. Young of Clearfield, Charles E. “Chuck” Young (Barb) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Annette “Tracy” Dixon (Robert) of Woodland. Grandchildren: Diana McMullen, Samuel Young, Kimberly Young, Amy Collins, Charles E. Young Jr., John E. Graham Jr., Cindy Kitchen, Robert Dixon, and Christopher Dixon. Numerous Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.
He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He was the last member of his generation.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Lulubell Martell, and his second wife Cora J. Seyler. And eight brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services for Mr. Young will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Friday September 1, 2023 at 11 AM with Rev. William Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by members of the Clearfield Honor Guard.
Family and Friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Thursday August 31, 2023 from 6-8 PM and on Friday from 10 Am till the time of services at 11 AM.
