Obituary for Carl Wallace Cooper
Carl Wallace Cooper, 87, of Chestnut Grove, passed away Sunday January 17, 2021 at his residence.
Born December 19, 1933 in Dixonville, Indiana County, PA, he was the son of Charles and Vera (McCullough) Cooper Little. Mr. Cooper was retired as a mechanic from Consolidated Natural Gas Company.
He attended the Salem United Methodist Church near DuBois, was a member of the United Gas Workers Union Local #69, was a member of the Chestnut Grove Sportsman’s Club, and was involved with the Chestnut Grove Community Center.
On July 2, 1955 he wed the former Beatrice Arlene Cohick who survives along with a daughter Joan Pentz and husband Keith of Chestnut Grove. Also surviving are three grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a sister Virginia Bash and husband Jack of DuBois.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Carlene Cooper, a son Charles Cooper, two brothers Eugene “Gene” and Charles “Chuck”, and three sisters Louella Lydic, Doloris Pennington and Evelyn Vasbinder.
Due to COVID-19 regulations there will be no public visitation. Private Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville with the Reverend Kendra Balliet officiating. Interment will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Grampian.
