Carmen L. “Mike” Dunlap
Carmen “Mike” Dunlap, 90 of Olanta, PA passed at Heritage Ridge Senior Living Center on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
He was born September 13th, 1935 to Benjamin and Theo Dunlap.
In 1958, he wed Gretchen Hoyt and enjoyed 67 years of marriage.
He worked many years in union construction for Greene Construction, then later joined SIMCA Mining, Al Hamilton Contracting and Howes Leather ending his career as a township supervisor for Knox township, then enjoying a long retirement.
He is survived by his sister Janet Medzie, brother-in-law James Hoyt Sr. as well as sisters in law Maxine Hoyt and Coreen Hoyt.
Proceeded in death by his parents; as well as his wife Gretchen in 2024, his brothers Richard and Marlin Dunlap and brother-in-law Donald “Nester” Hoyt.
Known as “Uncle Mike” he was a loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 on Friday, January 30th, 2026 at the Mt. Zion Church. A time of fellowship will follow at the Mt. Zion Methodist Church, 3381 Zion Road, Olanta, PA.
