Obituary for Caroline A. Freeman
Caroline A. Freeman, 86, of Curwensville, passed away Monday evening March 16, 2015 at her residence after a lengthy illness.

Born January 6, 1929 in Curwensville, she was the daughter of John and Ethel (Sutika) Lash. Mrs. Freeman had been employed at various times by MacGregor Sportswear, Kurtz Brothers and ClearDon Manufacturing.

She was a member of St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville, and a former member of the Curwensville VFW Ladies Auxiliary

She had wed Benjamin B. Freeman who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers Michael, John, Joseph, George, and Peter Lash, an infant brother, and 5 sisters Mary Olosky, Helen Potkalesky, Anna Padisak, Katherine Poklar, and Agnes Boozer.

Surviving are 2 children Susan Steis and husband Richard of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Ben J Freeman of New Oxford and Curwensville. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren Gene McGee, Joe McGee, and Melissa Randle and a brother Andrew Lash and wife Joanne of Curwensville.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville on Thursday March 19, 2015 at 11:00 AM, with Reverend Father Mark J. Mastrian as Celebrant. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park in Hyde, PA.

Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Wednesday March 18 from 6 to 9 PM, and again on Thursday from 10 AM until 10:30 AM, when the procession will depart for the church.

A Scripture Vigil will be conducted Wednesday evening at 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
