Catheryn R. Schickling, 87 of Clearfield, passed away Sunday March 24, 2013 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born March 11, 1926 In Clearfield, PA, she was the daughter of Lewis F. and Mayme E. (Peoples) Robbins. Mrs. Schickling was a homemaker.
On August 9, 1950 in Winchester, VA, she wed Howard C. Schickling Jr. who preceded her in death on November 30, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers George and Richard Robbins. She was the last member of her generation.
Surviving are 3 daughters; Linda Hipps and her husband Ferman of Clearfield, Terry Hess and her husband Graham and Wendy Ammerman and her husband Carl both of Millerstown, PA. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren Alan Hipps Todd Hipps Beth Hipps, Richard Hess, Amber Hess Hoover, Steven Ammerman, and Daniel Ammerman and 2 great grandchildren John Buffington and Trent Hoover.
At the request of Mrs. Schickling there will be no public viewing. Private committal services will be held at the convenience of the family at Pine Grove Bethel Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Duane A. White officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donors choice.
