Charles B. “Buck” Kanouff
DuBois: Charles B. “Buck” Kanouff, 80 of Curwensville passed away Sunday December 21, 2025 at Penn Highlands DuBois surrounded by his family.
Born January 10, 1945 in Olanta, PA he was the son of Charles M. and Susan A. (Davis) Kanouff. He had worked for Penelec for a few years before relocating to Indiana and working for IBEW #1393 as an outside linesman and retired after 45 years of service.
He was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and served with the Military Police.
He was a member of the Curwensville VFW #842, Curwensville American Legion #505, Curwensville Moose #268 and IBEW local #1393.
On June 21, 1975 in Ligonier, Indiana he wed Doloris (Clapsaddle) Kanouff who survives of Curwensville, along with four children Charles R. Kanouff (Nancy) of MA, Charles B. Kanouff Jr. (Hanna) of HI, Brian Kanouff of AZ, and Wilma Lee Galvan (Tom), of TX. A daughter in law Terri Kanouff of NH, and two step children Pamela Bennett, and Gwendolyn Bennett. 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. And a sister Mae Barr (William) of Clearfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Brett Kanouff, and a sister Carol Diehl.
At the request of the family there will be no public services. Interment will be held in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
