Obituary for Charles Edward Bowers
Charles Edward “Eddie” Bowers, 55, of Hyde, passed away Wednesday morning, September 16, 2009 at Christ The King Manor in DuBois.



Born November 2, 1953 in Roaring Springs, PA, he was the son of Dorothy Shwartz.  Mr. Bowers had worked construction, had been a lineman, and last worked for Lena’s Café in Altoona.  He attended the Hyde Wesleyan Church and enjoyed hunting and fishing.



On January 8, 1990 in Altoona, he wed the former Cindy L. Boyer who survives along with his mother of Tyrone and 2 children.  William Bowers and his wife Pamela of Altoona and Angelena Maria Bowers at home.



Also surviving are 2 grandsons Nathaniel Port and Dustin McCulley both of Altoona, 2 sisters and 2 brothers:  Mary Shwartz of Williamsport, Ernie Shwartz and his wife Lori of Duncansville, John Shwartz and Iris Rhodes both of Tyrone, and his foster parents Gene and Nancy Everwine.



He was preceded in death by his father and a son Charles E. Bowers Jr.



A Memorial Service for Mr. Bowers will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Saturday September 19, 2009 at 7:00 PM, with the Reverend Robert J. Croft officiating.



Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 6 PM until time of services at 7 PM
