Obituary for Charles Joseph (Big Daddy) Ritterson
Charles J. “Big Daddy” Ritterson Sr. 66 of New Millport passed away Friday October 16, 2015 at his residence.
 
Born December 28, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA he was the son of Frank and Marie (Goodbread) Ritterson. He had worked for Anthony Lumber as a Log Truck Driver. He was a former member of the Chinklacamoose A.B.A.T.E. Chapter 16
 
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his grandchildren and the joy they provided him. He raced at Muddy Run Raceway. And enjoyed working on cars and his Harley Davidson.  
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters Frannie Ritterson, Harry Ritterson, Edward Ritterson, Anna Mae Dietz, and Marie Moebius.
 
On November 11, 1967 in Bucks County he wed Beverley Ann Biegenwald who survives of New Millport, PA along with 3 children, Paula Hamm and her husband Michael of Irvona, Billy Jo Gillingham of Curwensville, and Charles J. Ritterson Jr. and his wife Stacey of New Millport, PA. 5 grandchildren: Jennifer Hamm and her Fiancée Ben Folmar, Shauna McGary and her husband Damion, Stephen Zimmerman, Erika Ritterson, and Elizabeth Ritterson. A great grandson Damion McGary Jr. And 5 brothers and sisters Madeline Larson, Irene Reck, Margaret Delapenia, Alice Bedner, and Edna McLeash all of Bucks County, Philadelphia, PA.
 
Funeral Services for Mr. Ritterson will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Wednesday October 21, 2015 at 11 AM with Reverend  Stephen Shields officiating. Interment will follow in the Fruit Hill Cemetery.
 
Friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Tuesday October 20, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. And on Wednesday from 10 AM till the time of services at 11AM.
 
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society 26 S. 2nd St. Suite 102 Clearfield, PA 16830
