Obituary for Darla R. (Hatten) Hoover
Darla R. Hatten Hoover, 55, of Curwensville, passed away Thursday December 2, 2021 at Penn Highland Hospital – DuBois.
Born December 15, 1965 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Delmont Hatten and Grace (Snyder) Hatten Hunter. Darla had been a secretary/administrative assistant in both the Clearfield County Children and Youth Services and the Clearfield/Jefferson Counties Drug and Alcohol Commission.
She had been a member of the former Grampian Church of God and while in High school she participated in both marching band and band front. She was treasurer of the Curwensville Golf Boosters.
On September 1, 1990 at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in DuBois, she wed Vernon Blaine “Bud” Hoover who survives along with a daughter Hannah Hoover of DuBois. Also surviving is her mother and stepfather Paul Hunter of DuBois, two sisters Cindy Michael and husband Kevin of Maryland and Sharon Wenner and husband Gene of Punxsutawney and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Curwensville First Baptist Church * 1227 Susquehanna Avenue * Curwensville on Saturday February 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM, with Reverend Daniel Osterhout officiating.
Family and friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 9:30 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM
Memorial Contributions may be made in the name of Darla to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
