Bigler: David L. DeTemple, 51, of Bigler, passed away Thursday January 8, 2008 at the West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA
Born April 30, 1957 in Monterey, CA he was the son of William P. and Ingeborg (Buchel) DeTemple. He was employed at the former Clearfield Powdered Metals for 18 years. He was also student of the Tang So Do by Master Gary Josefik.
On November 13, 1982 at the Grassflat Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church he wed Kathleen Martin who survives along with his mother Ingeborg DeTemple of Camp Hill, PA, 3 daughters Crystal DeTemple Graves and her husband Sean of Clearfield, Elizabeth DeTemple Jordan and her husband Randy Jr. of Clearfield, and Marikaye DeTemple of Bigler. 4 grandchildren Kaydenc Graves, Lorelei Graves, Finnley Graves, and Seth Jordan all of Clearfield. 2 brothers William “Bill” DeTemple of Camp Hill, PA, Michael DeTemple and his wife Maria of New Cumberland, PA, and JoAnn Magaro and her husband Sam of Harrisburg, PA.
He was preceded in death by his Father.
Services for Mr. DeTemple will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Clearfield on Tuesday January 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Bill Davis and Pastor Tina Hawkins co-officiating.
Friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Monday January 12, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and on Tuesday from 9 AM till the time of services at 11:00 AM.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Mr. DeTemple name to either a historical society or an organization of the donor’s choice
