Deacon Anthony P. “Tony” Indelicato Sr.


Clearfield: Deacon Anthony P. “Tony” Indelicato, 75, of Clearfield passed away Friday July 4, 2025.


Born September 24, 1949 in Gillespie, IL he was the son of Salvatore “Sam” and Pauline (Asay) Indelicato. Tony was Director of the Good Samaritan Center in Clearfield for over 20 years. He served as Deacon of St. Timothys Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville and St. Bonaventure Roman Catholic Church in Grampian for 15 years. He was a member of the Curwensville Knights of Columbus #16090. He was a Fourth Degree Knight, the highest degree within the Knights of Columbus.


He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. Tony was a handyman and enjoyed fixing things.


He was a Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.


He is survived by four children. Anthony P. Indelicato Jr. (Monica), and Michael Indelicato all of Alabama, Joseph Indelicato (Laura) of Spartansburg, PA, and Sara Indelicato of Clearfield. Grandchildren Jonathon, Anthony III, Alexandria, Joshua, Kendra, Andria, and Hannah. And two great grandchildren. Brothers and sisters Mercedes Nepute, James Indelicato, John Indelicato, Margaret Drennan, Teresa Nolen, Delores Starkle, Daniel Indelicato, Larry Indelicato, Linda Mattingly. And half brother Matthew Indelicato.


On January 14, 1983 in Alabama he wed Reba Y. (McDaniel) Indelicato who preceded him in death on January 5, 2018. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and great grandchildren Weston and Layla Dennis.


Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church in Curwensville, PA on Thursday July 10, 2025 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Father Stephen Collins officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Clearfield Honor Guard.


Family and friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Wednesday July 9, 2025 from 4-7 PM.


The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Good Samaritan Center 11 North Front St. Clearfield, PA 16830.
