Obituary for Dean Barrett
Dean Barrett, 79, of LaJose, passed away Sunday December 27, 2020 at Christ The King Manor in DuBois.
Born August 7, 1941 in LaJose, PA, he was the son of Lewis and Vera (Oaks) Barrett. Mr. Barrett had been a truck driver and carpenter and worked road construction most of his life. He was a former member of the Mahaffey VFW.
In 1960, he wed the former Mary Myrtle Clapsaddle who preceded him in death on July 6, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his parents and 12 siblings. He was the last member of his generation.
Surviving are 2 children: Ricky Dean Barrett of LaJose and Mary Annette Bond and husband Gary of Mahaffey. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren: Kristian Barrett and wife Aimee, Kevin Ross and wife Cathy, Heather Bond Lanager and significant other “Buddie”, Raymond Peace and wife Krista, Gary Bond Jr. and significant other Monica Walker, Josie Conway and husband Charles, Lisa Bond, and Vicki Hullihen and husband Matt; and 20 great grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no public visitation.
Funeral Services will be held at a later date.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society * 108 R N. 2nd Street * Clearfield, PA 16830.
