Deborah M. Johnston
Curwensville: Deborah M. ”Debbie” Johnston 68, of Madera passed away Tuesday December 13, 2022.
Born September 30, 1954 in Philipsburg she was the daughter of Oliver “Pete”and C. Dorthea (Jackson) Smeal. She was employed as a Home Health Aide for over 20 years having worked for Cen Clear, Help Mates and Penn Highlands Community Nurses. She was affiliated with Glen Hope United Methodist Church, She was past president of Madera VFW Auxiliary and a member of the Coalport 7043 Auxiliary.
She is survived by 4 children Oliver “Pete” Flood (Nicole) of Madera, Tara Rebar (Lenny) of Grampian, James “Jim” Johnston and his significant other December Adams of Glen Hope, Chasity Dullen (Ricky) of Madera. 8 grandchildren Jordan Flood and her significant other Sebastian Mills, Ashley Flood, Emma and Abby Rebar, Tyler and Madilyn Johnston, and Hunter and Zachary Dullen. 2 step grandchildren Betsy McGarry (Chris) and Jamie Stephens (Travis), 2 great grandchildren Sofia and Stormie Mills, 3 step great granchilden Peyton Perks, Willow Stephens, and Kaelan McGarry. 2 sisters Cheri Verbeck (Bob) Philipsburg, Nancy Fetters of Glen Hope, and a brother Joseph Smeal (Michelle) of South Carolina.
Funeral Services for Deborah Johnston will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Monday December 19, 2022 at 11 AM with Pastor Len Findley officiating. Interment will follow in Fruit Hill Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Sunday December 18, 2022 from 3 to 5 pm and on Monday from 10 AM till the time of service at 11.
