Obituary for Donna M. McGary
Donna M. McGary, 62, of Grampian, passed away Tuesday morning April 6, 2021 at her residence, in the presence of her loving husband, Marty, after a lengthy illness.
Born November 24, 1958 in Grampian, she was the daughter of Robert C. and Nancy Lee (McFadden) Wriglesworth. She retired from the Curwensville Area School District in September of 2018 after 23 years of service. Prior to that she had worked for the former Curwensville State Bank and Walter Hopkins and Company of Clearfield. She was a 1976 graduate of Curwensville High School.
She was a birthright member of the West Branch Meeting Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Grampian, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She was a member of the Penn Grange in Grampian, had been involved with the Hepburnia 4-H Club, and was past president of the Curwensville PTC. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and canning, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
On September 8, 1984 in the Friends Meeting House, she wed Martin McGary who survives along with 3 sons and a daughter: Adam McGary and wife Justine, Abby Stiles and husband Colt, Justin McGary an wife Kara, and Nathaniel McGary and wife Kim.
Also surviving are twelve grandchildren: Kael, Adalie, Silas, and Beau McGary; Iree, Shane, and Mailey Stiles; Tucker and Vivian McGary; and Sullivan, Thatcher, and Lainey McGary; as well as a brother and sister: Jeff Wriglesworth and wife Karen, and Lori Rancik and husband Michael along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Nancy McGary.
Funeral Services for Donna M. McGary will be held at the Friends Meeting House * 1st Street * Grampian, on Saturday April 10, 2021 at 10:00 PM, with Mrs. Dorothy McCracken as Overseer. Interment will be in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian.
Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Friday April 9. 2021 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Masks must be worn at both the Funeral Home and Meeting House.
