DuBois: Doris B. Dale, 91, of Curwensville passed away Sunday June 22, 2025 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born January 31, 1934 in Clearfield she was the daughter of Jay and Sara Marie (Weber) Bowden. She was a 1951 graduate of Curwensville Area High School. She had worked at North American Refractories Company in the office and retired as office manager after 30 plus years of service.
Doris was a life member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church, and enjoyed golfing, bowling and her card clubs. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by two children: Douglas Dale and wife Debbie of Punxsutawney, and Cheryl Sutika and husband John of Grampian. Six grandchildren Douglas Dale Jr. (Tori), Lauren Hospodar (Jeremy), Clayton Dale fiancé Brianna Winslow, Michelle Bennett (Joe), John Sutika Jr. fiancé Jodi Guy, and Brett Sutika (Nicollette); seven great grandchildren Elliott and Carson Hospodar, Judson and Lillian Bennett, Charlotte and Elaina Dale, and Peter Lilly. And a sister-in-law Joyce Bowden of Clearfield.
On November 20, 1954 she wed Joseph R. Dale who preceded her in death on August 12, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her parents, an infant son Richard Allen Dale, brother Donald Bowden, and sisters Ellen Louise Britton, and Lenora Haines.
Funeral Services for Doris Dale will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Thursday June 26, 2025 at 4 PM with Pastor Don Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery of Curwensville.
Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home from 2pm until the time of services at 4 PM on Thursday June 26, 2025.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Curwensville United Methodist Church 602 State Street Curwensville, PA 16833.
