Obituary for Dorothy Jane Peters
Dorothy Jane Peters, 85, of Newark, DE, and formerly of Curwensville, passed away Sunday November 11, 2012 at the Millcroft Nursing Center in Newark.

Born May 29, 1927 in Pike Township, Clearfield County, she was the daughter of Cleo and Pauline (Pasche) Rowles, Mrs. Peters was retired as a seamstress for the former Kent Sportswear in Curwensville. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Curwensville, the Amalgamated Clothing and Textile Workers Union Local 118C, and was an avid reader.

On March 16, 1951 she wed Victor Peters who preceded her in death on August 29, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother Robert Rowles and a sister Betty Cupp. She was the last member of her generation.

Surviving are 3 children Edward Rowles and wife Cindy of Newark, DE, Susan Loddo and husband Chris of Macedonia, OH, and Paul Peters and wife Jeanne of Alexandria, VA, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Peters will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Saturday November 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Richard Steuernagle officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery Curwensville.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday November 16 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM, and Saturday from 10 AM until time of services.
