Obituary for Dorothy R. Wall
Dorothy R. “Dottie” Wall, 92, a residence of Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center and formerly of Grampian, passed away Sunday September 2, 2018 at Ridgeview.
Born October 11, 1925 in Grampian, she was the daughter of Joseph and Pearl (Dunsworth) Russell. Dorothy was a homemaker and was a member of the former Grampian Church of God. She was a former member of the GFWC Woman’s Club of Grampian and enjoyed playing the piano at Ridgeview.
On October 19, 1946, se wed Donald Wall who preceded her in death on December 27, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers Doyle, Droze and John Russell and 2 sisters Rosella Shimchock and Jean Mays.
Surviving are 2 children: Donna E. Wall of Clearfield, David J. Wall and wife Karen of Grampian and Debra L. Wingard and husband Terry of Curwensville. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter as well as a brother Donald Russell and wife Sharon of Tucson, AZ.
Funeral Services for Dorothy Wall will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Thursday September 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Aaron Garber officiating. Interment will be in the Friends Cemetery in Grampian.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday September 5, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and again on Thursday from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM.
The family suggests contributions be made to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
