Douglas L. Dixon, 54, of Glen Richey, passed away Sunday December 22, 2013 at his residence.

Born February 19, 1959 in Clearfield, he was the son of Lyle J. Dixon Jr. and Barbara (Cupples) Dixon Ogden. Mr. Dixon had worked for Kurtz Brothers for 32 years, was a truck driver for J.P. Donmoyer, Inc. for 4 years, and also had worked for Fire Art Fireworks.

He was a U S Naval Veteran, was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman, loved his family and loved riding his Harley-Davidson.

Surviving is his father and stepmother Lorena Dixon of Olanta, his mother and stepfather Thomas Ogden of Clearfield, 2 daughters Lisa Dixon and companion Richard Lyon Jr. of Grampian and Lesley Dixon-Wilt and husband Scott of Olanta, 2 stepchildren Mandy Kruise of Uniontown and Joseph Ralston III of Curwensville, 3 grandchildren Timothy Lyon, Lilly Lyon, and Carson Dixon, and 2 sisters Terry Killion and husband Paul of Hyde, and Tracey Taft and husband Jack of Warren, PA.

He was preceded in death by a brother Scott K. Dixon.

There will be no public visitation and a Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at a later date and interment will be in the Thompson Cemetery Glen Richey.

The family suggests contributions be made to the charity of the donors Choice.
