DuBois: E. Jane Johnson 99 of Grampian passed away Wednesday May 15, 2024 at the DuBois Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
Born November 8, 1924 in Grampian she was the daughter of Clyde “Kitty” and Ida (Price) Hepburn. She was a homemaker and also worked at Airplane Marine, and various restaurants in the area including Dotts Restaurant.
She was a member of the former St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Grampian where she had been a Sunday school teacher. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women, GFWC Grampian Women’s club, and Grampian Penn Bloom VFC Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by two children Edward F. Johnson (Linda) of Grampian, and Fred T. Johnson (Becky) of Clearfield. 3 grandchildren Kenneth Johnson significant other Tammy Tubbs of Grampian, Derek Johnson (Hilary) of Portland, OR., and Laura Bowman (Jesse) of Olanta, PA. 3 great grandchildren Lucy, Landon, and Lennon Bowman.
On September 25, 1948 in Kane, PA she wed Frank LeRoy Johnson who preceded her in death on November 8, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a grandson Kevin Johnson, brothers Joe, Don, Ray, and Jim, sisters Barbara Henry, and Ruth Rafferty.
Funeral Services for Jane Johnson will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Saturday May 18, 2024 at 2 PM with Pastor Stephen Shields officiating. Interment will be held in the Friends Cemetery in Grampian.
Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Saturday May 18, 2024 from 12 noon till the time of services at 2 PM.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
