Obituary for Beth Swoope
Elizabeth Jane “Beth” Swoope, of Shiloh, passed away Friday morning, June 17, 2022 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born March 5, 1965 in Clearfield, PA, she was the daughter of Jerry and Susie (Luzier) Kovach. “Beth” was a homemaker and had also worked as a nursing assistant at various facilities throughout the area. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, her family, and playing video games.
On September 11, 1982 in Clearfield, she wed William “Bill” Swoope Sr. who survives along with four children: William “Bill” Swoope Jr. and wife Christa and Cherri Hunt and husband Dustin “Dusty” both of Clearfield; Richard “Richie” Swoope and wife JoAnne of Grassflat; and Stacey Frear and husband Oscar of Virginia Beach, VA.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers: Robin McLaughlin and Gail Kovach both of Philipsburg and Joseph “Joey” Kovach and wife Susan and Bryan Kovach and partner Mandy both of Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Denise Kovach.
Funeral Services for “Beth” Swoope will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Monday June 20, 2022 at 7:00 PM, with Pastor David Luzier officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 PM until time of services at 7:00 PM.
