Ella Mae Skebo
Curwensville: Ella Mae Skebo, 88, of Curwensville passed away Thursday December 19, 2024 at her residence.
Ella Mae was born of Ashley and Hazel (Luzier) Rowles on February 14, 1936 in Olanta. She was a 1953 graduate of Clearfield Area High School. She had worked in the shipping department for Target/Bayer Clothing and retired in 2000.
She attended the church of St. Timothy R.C.C. in Curwensville, where she was an active member of the St. Timothy Altar and Rosary Society, and the church Relay for Life Team. She was also a former President of the Local 118c Amalgamated.
Surviving are three children; John Skebo of Curwensville, Theresa Lingle (Gary) of DuBois, and Samuel Skebo (Stephanie) of Curwensville. She also has seven grandchildren; John D. “JD” Skebo, Jerod A. Skebo, Jacob M. Skebo, Morgan Lingle, Matthew Lingle, Ashley Morgan, and Sheridan Barnett. Two great grandchildren Jackson Barnett, and John James “JJ” Skebo. Her sister Connie Seaburn resides in Hyde.
She was preceded in death by her parents Hazel and Ashley Rowles (Luzier), her husband John Skebo, daughter Susan Skebo, a granddaughter Santana Lee Skebo, and a daughter in law Sherri Skebo.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Timothy R.C.C. of Curwensville on Friday December 27, 2024 at 10:30 AM with Father Stepehen Collins as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Mary’s Ukranian Catholic Cemetery in Ramey.
Family and friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Thursday December 26, 2024 from 4-7 PM and on Friday from 9 AM until 10 AM.
