Obituary for Elva E. Straw
Elva E. Straw 95 of Clearfield passed away Thursday February 25, 2016 at the Clearfield Hospital.

Born April 8, 1920 in Berwinsdale, PA she was the daughter of Steward P. and Flavius V. (Bloom) Straw. She served her country in the U.S. Army. She had been employed with the Pennsylvania Department of Agricultural as a Clerk in the Farm Office and also worked for Sylvania Electric in Reynoldsville, PA.

She was Baptist by faith and enjoyed restoring antique cars as a hobby.

She is survived by her closest relative cousin Anna Benedek of Clearfield, along with numerous other cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents and was the last member of her generation.
Â
At the request of Mrs. Straw there will be no public visitation or services. Interment will be in the Old Zion Cemetery in Berwinsdale.
