Obituary for Erma Kathryn Marshall
Erma Kathryn Marshall 87, of Grampian passed away Friday May 21, 2010 at her residence after a lengthy illness.

Born July 20, 1922 in Grampian, she was the daughter of George Earl and Dessie Jane (London) Hess.  Mrs. Marshall was a retired seamstress having worked for the former Hosiery Mill and the former Kent’s Sportswear both of Curwensville.  She was a member of St. Bonaventure’s Roman Catholic Church in Grampian.

Mrs. Marshall had wed Frederick J. Marshall who preceded her in death on October 31, 1987.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers George Jr., Frank, William, and Raymond Hess and a sister Phynella Updegraph.

Surviving are 2 daughters Joann “Cricket” Conrad and her husband James of Grampian and Barbara Witherow of Curwensville.  Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 2 sisters Helen S. Estright and her husband Harry of Inverness, FL, and Margaret Lozaw of Appleton, NY.

The public is invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at St. Bonaventure’s Roman Catholic Church Main Street Grampian, PA, on Saturday May 29, 2010 at 2:00 PM, with Reverend Father Mark J. Mastrian as Celebrant.  Interment will be in the Friends Cemetery Grampian, PA.

At the request of Mrs. Marshall, there will be no public visitation.

The family suggests contributions be made to either St. Bonaventure’s Roman Catholic Church or St. Theresa’s Guild of St. Bonaventure’s Church in Grampian, PA  16838
