Obituary for Ernest Lee (Swede) Anderson
Ernest Lee “Swede” Anderson, 83, of Hepburnia, passed away Friday April 13, 2012 at his residence after a lengthy illness.
 
Born November 29, 1928 in Hepburnia, he was the son of Ernest J. and Eva D. (Guiher) Anderson.  Mr. Anderson had been employed by NARCO in Curwensville, retiring after 45 years of service and he was also a farmer.  He was a member of the Hepburnia United Methodist Church and was a U S Army Veteran of World War II. 
 
On March 2, 1951 in Hyde, he wed the former Donna Hepfer who survives along with 7 children:  Patty Blankley and husband Terry and Dick Anderson and wife Becky, both of DuBois, Mary Royer and husband Bill, Sandy Holt and husband Gary, and Terry Lee Anderson and wife Brenda all of Hepburnia, William Anderson and wife LuAnn of Chestnut Grove, and Jim Anderson and wife Cindy of Clearfield.
 
Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and a sister Thelma Lucas of Chestnut Grove.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister Virginia Mae Anderson and 2 brothers Tom and Andy Anderson.
 
Funeral Services for Mr. Anderson will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville, on Tuesday April 17, 2012 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Emmett Anderson officiating.  Interment will be in the Friends Cemetery Grampian. 
 
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday April 16 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM, and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of services at 11.
 
Military Honors will be accorded at the funeral home by members of the Clearfield American Legion and Clearfield VFW Joint Honor Guard.
 
The family suggests contributions be made to the Hepburnia United Methodist Church Building Fund P.O. Box G Grampian, PA 16838
