Obituary for Ernest Ralph Snyder Sr.
Ernest Ralph Snyder Sr., 76, of Curwensville, passed away Thursday morning August 20, 2015 at his residence after a lengthy illness.
 
Born November 11, 1938 in Clearfield, he was the son of Wesley Robinson and Mariel Snyder.  Mr. Snyder was a self-employed contractor, and had also worked for the former Clearfield Cheese Co. in Curwensville.  He was a member of the Clearfield Seventh Day Adventist Church, was a member of the United Commercial Food Handlers Union and a former member of the L.O.O.M.
 
On June 3, 1980 in Hyde, PA, he wed the former Helen G. Tudor who survives along with 4 children.  Charlotte J. Snyder and Lorrenna Snyder both at home, Ernest R. Snyder Jr. and his partner Chelsey Simpson and Michelle Orndorf and her husband Travis both of Osceola Mills, a grandson Ernest R. Snyder III, a sister Erie Bell of New Millport, and a brother-in-law Ben Carlson of Curwensville.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Marilis “Skippy” Johnson.
 
Funeral Services for Mr. Snyder will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Monday August 24, 2015 at 1:00 PM, with the Reverend Robert Johnson officiating.  Interment will be in the Snyder Cemetery in New Millport, PA. 
 
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday August 23, 2015 from 3 to 5 PM, and again on Monday from Noon until time of services at 1 PM.
