Obituary for Ethel Mae Norris
Ethel Mae Norris, 95, a resident of Mt. Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield, and formerly of Olanta, passed away Wednesday February 3, 2016 at Mt. Laurel.
 
Born August 9, 1920 in Big Run, PA, she was the daughter of Jacob Earl and Gertrude R. (Kelly) Hineman.  Mrs. Norris was a homemaker and also had worked for the former Kent’s Sportswear in Curwensville for 16 ½ years and also for the former Clearfield Furs for 7 months.  She was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church of Olanta.
 
On February 8, 1941 in Punxsutawney, PA she wed Reuben Albert Norris Sr. who preceded her in death on March 31, 2004.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, two great grandchildren Chloee Norris and Jason Norris Jr., a sister Grace Rasely and a brother George Hineman.  She was the last member of her generation.
 
Surviving are two children Reuben Albert Norris Jr. and wife Kathryn and G. Jean Collins and husband H. Colin both of Clearfield, three grandchildren Kelly (Collins) Wallace, Casey Collins and Jason Norris, four great grandchildren Sierra Collins, Haylee Wallace, Adan Wallace and Casandra Norris, and a great great granddaughter Kyrra Lea Schlindwein.
 
Funeral Services for Mrs. Norris will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Saturday February 6, 2016 ay 11:00 AM, with Reverend Samuel Maines officiating.  Interment will be in the Bloomington Cemetery Curwensville, PA.
 
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM.
 
The family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society 26 S Second Street Clearfield, PA 16830
