Obituary for Faye G. McGarry
Faye G. McGarry 89, of Olanta passed away Wednesday January 26, 2011 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born January 20, 1922 in Reynoldsville she was the daughter of Edison and Bertha (Cramer) Pifer. She attended the Lutheran Church of Olanta and was a member of the Olanta Grange.Â
On May 17, 1942 in Little Valley, NY, she wed Forrest O. McGarry who preceded her in death in 1977. Â She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother Royce Pifer.
She is survived by 3 sons Forrest W. McGarry and his wife Donna of Spring Groves, PA, Drew C. McGarry and his wife Jackie of Olanta, and Lee E. McGarry and his wife Betty of Curwensville. Also surviving are 10 grand children, 19 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, as well as a half sister Ruth Reiter of Sykesville, PA.
Funeral Services for Ms. McGarry will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Monday January 31, 2011 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Richard Steuernagle officiating. Â Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park in Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and on Monday from 10 AM till the time of service at 11 AM.
