Curwensville: Frederic R. Cline 90 of Curwensville passed away Monday July 8, 2024 at Ridgeview Eldercare & Rehabilitation after a short illness.


Born October 8, 1933 in Jersey Shore he was the son of Winfield F. and Sarah M. (Ritter) Cline. He had been employed at Clearfield Cheese as a Truck Driver and a Dispatcher and retired from Jersey Shore Steel where he was plant shipping manager. He held dear to his heart the Curwensville Moose Lodge #268 and Rescue Hose & Ladder Company Station 8. He also enjoyed attending Curwensville High School Football Games.


He is survived by 4 children Debra Cline Lynch (William) South Carolina, Frederic L. Cline of Curwensville, Jerry Cline of Clearfield and Cynthia Fye of Curwensville. A sister Karen Fletcher of Jersey Shore. 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Dorothy Robb Lippert, his second wife Gloria Bachelier Cline, daughter Jodi A. Mencer, and a son in law LeRoy Fye.


Funeral services for Mr. Cline will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Thursday July 11, 2024 at 1 PM with Mr. Gary Jewart officiating. Interment will be held in Historic Crown Crest Cemetery.


Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 11 AM till the time of services at 1 PM.


The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Curwensville Moose 945 Bailor Drive, Curwensville, PA 16833, or Rescue Hose & Ladder Company 408 Filbert St. Curwensville, PA 16833.
