Obituary for Fredric Arland McCracken
Fredric Arland McCracken74, of Lumber City, passed away Monday evening December 5, 2016 at his residence after a lengthy illness.
Born January 9, 1942 in Lumber City, he was the son of Walter and Kathryn (Smith) McCracken. Mr. McCracken was a machinist having retired from Jefferson Machine in Punxsutawney. He was Methodist by faith, enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his workshop. He was a US Naval veteran of the Vietnam War.
On December 14, 1963 in Curwensville, he wed the former Linda J. Wisor who survives along with two children; Robin Dusch and husband Keith of Curwensville and Fredric David McCracken and wife Dana of West Decatur. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren Makayla Dusch, Abigale McCracken and Haden McCracken, a sister Betty Aughenbaugh of Philipsburg and a brother Richard McCracken of Curwensville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Dean and Donald McCracken.
Funeral Services for Fredric McCracken will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Friday December 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend M. Bruce Dimmick officiating. Interment will be in the Lumber City Cemetery, Lumber City.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday December 8, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM And again on Friday from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM. Military Honors will be accorded at the funeral home by members of the Clearfield Honor Guard.
