Obituary for Genevieve Dorothy Elensky
Genevieve Dorothy Elensky, 88, of Bloomington, passed away Wednesday morning January 25, 2012 at the Clearfield Hospital.
Born November 15, 1923 in Glen Richey, she was the daughter of Henry Hile and Rhoda L. (Bloom) Rowles. Mrs. Elensky was a homemaker and was Methodist by faith.
On February 13, 1946 she wed Francis Thomas Elensky who preceded her in death on October 13, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons Walter and Richard Elensky, brothers Raymond “Pete”, William, Cleo, Homer, Arnold “Jack” and Woodrow “Sonny” Rowles and sisters Hazel Knepp, Mary Larson, and Annabelle Elensky. She was the last member of her generation.
Surviving are 5 sons; Edward Elensky and wife Lisa and Andy Elensky and wife Teresa both of Grampian, Ricky Elensky, Matthew Elensky and wife Barbi, and Larry Elensky all of Curwensville, 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Elensky will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville, on Saturday January 28, 2012 at 11:00 AM, with the Reverend Duane Stiner officiciating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday January 27 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, and Saturday from 10 AM until time of services.
The family suggests contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
