Obituary for Geraldine R. Hamilton
Geraldine R. Hamilton, 93, of Clearfield, passed away Tuesday morning April 6, 2021 at Mt. Laurel Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Clearfield.
Born September 8, 1927 in O’Shanter, she was the daughter of Clair and Rachel (Zeigler) Rowles. Mrs. Hamilton had been employed by the former W.T. Grants in Clearfield and the former Clearfield Cheese in Curwensville. She was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Golden Rod.
On December 31, 1945 in Clearfield, she wed Clifford B. Hamilton who preceded her in death on July 2, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a daughter Helen Lewis; 7 brothers George, Harvey, Donald, Robert, Clair Jr., Ronald, and Wayne Rowles; 5 sisters Twila McEwen, Marie Sloppy, Gertrude Thorn, Mildred Lewis, and Deloris Bailor; 2 step great grandsons; and 1 step great great grandchild.
Surviving are 4 children: Rev. Clifford B. Hamilton Jr. and wife Patty of Erie, Rev. David C. Hamilton and wife Glenda of Burnt Cabin, Vivian J. Miccike of Hyde, and John C. “Jack” Hamilton and wife Sharon of Glen Richey.
In addition, she is survived by 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, and 3 step great great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Hamilton will be held at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Golden Rod on Saturday April 10, 2021 at 3:00 PM, with the Reverend Steve DeSantis, officiating. Interment will be in the Thompson Cemetery in Glen Richey.
Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 2 PM until time of services at 3 PM.
