New Millport: Hale T. Fink 81 of New Millport passed away Sunday June 9, 2013 at his residence.
Born December 8, 1931 in Altoona he was the son of Roy and Anna (Ayle) Fink. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. He started Fink Transportation Service where he was co owner/ operator along with his wife Shirley for over 27 years. He was a member of the Grampian Lions Club where he was a past President, and was also a past District Governor of District 14 J.
On July 1, 1955 in Hepburnia he wed Shirley Pentz who survives along with 3 children Cindy Caldwell and her husband Tom of Cortland, NY, Randy Fink and his wife Deb, and Brian Fink and his wife Helen “Bean” all of New Millport. 7 grandchildren Matt DuFour and his wife Heather, Susan Caldwell, Megan Freeman and her husband Joe, Brandon Fink, Seth Fink and his wife Janel, Annie Fink, and Holly Fink. 2 great grandchildren Jarrett and Kaydence DuFour.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Darlene Knaresboro, a sister Dorothy Douglas and a brother Harold “Buck” Fink.
Funeral services for Mr. Fink will be held at The Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Wednesday June 12, 2013 at 11 AM with Reverend George W. Solley officiating. Interment will follow in the Friends Cemetery in Grampian.
Friends will be received at The Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Tuesday June 11, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and on Wednesday from 10 AM till the time of service at 11 AM.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Hospice “Circle of Friends” 286 Pauline Drive, Clearfield, PA 16830.
