Obituary for Helen Jane Barber
Helen Jane Barber, 88, a resident of Ridgeview Eldercare Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville, and formerly of Clearfield, PA, Somerset, PA, and Nicholas County, West Virginia, passed away Monday May 11, 2015 at Ridgeview Eldercare.
Born February 9, 1927 in Birch River, West Virginia, she was the daughter of Walker and Myrtle S. (Bragg) Cunningham. Mrs. Barber was a homemaker.
She wed Jack Barber who preceded her in death in 1977. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Jacqueline Frazier, a sister Kathleen Yourich, and brothers Bernard, Charles, Alvin, and Hilbert Cunningham.
Surviving is a daughter Jaynie Thomas and her husband Calvin of Clearfield, PA., 4 grandchildren Travis Frazier of Florida, Richard Thomas of Clearfield, PA., Stacey Wise of Virginia, and Ryan Thomas of Denver, CO., a sister Eloise “Hooter” Summers of Arizona, and many nieces and nephew especially Bernard “Smokie” Cunningham of Porter, Indiana and Reed Cunningham of Tioga, West Virginia.
There will be no public visitation; a private Memorial Service will be conducted at a later date. Interment will be in the West Virginia Memorial Gardens, Inc., Calvin, WV.
The family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society 26 S. 2nd Street Clearfield, PA 16830
