Hope A. (Baumgarner) Berry
Punxsutawney: Hope A. (Baumgarner) Berry 61 of Punxsutawney passed away Thursday January 5, 2023 at her residence.
Born August 24, 1961 at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth VA, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Theodore Bumgarner and Margaret A. (Schucker) Rhone.
She was a 1979 Graduate of Clearfield Area High School. She worked at various fast food restaurants before moving to Fort Worth, TX. Over the years she worked at several flower shops, and eye doctor’s office, Hedges Restaurant and various other jobs. Her most recent job was as a care giver at Jefferson County Housing Authority at the Senior Assist Services, Inc.
She was a Christian by faith and recently attended First Church of God in Punxsutawney.
In July of 1982, she married David Paul Berry, who preceded her in death in June of 2021.
She is survived by her Mother Margaret A. “Peggy” and her step father Harold Rhone of Punxsutawney. 2 children Jennifer Lobato of Curwensville and Tiffany (Chris) Clark of Clearfield. 3 grandchildren Brittney Ann Lobato, Raiden Theodore, and Aria Mae Clark. 1 sister Deborah A. (Dean) McKee of Allport. And numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, a brother Theodore Wayne Baumgarner, and her grandparents.
Services for Hope Berry will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Tuesday January 10, 2023 at 1 PM with Pastor Rob van Fossen officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from Noon till the time of services at 1PM.
