Obituary for Howard E. Neeper
Howard E. Neeper, 78, of Hyde passed away Wednesday July 27, 2016 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.
Born October 27, 1937 in Clearfield he was the son of Truman LeRoy and Violet Alethea (Lanich) Neeper. Mr. Neeper started out working for the Edgar T. Henry Farm, followed by a stint at the Zimmerman Block Plant, later at the Michael Bears Farm in Spruce Creek, CCI Security in Clearfield, but was retired from Chapin and Chapin Construction as a truck driver.
He was a lifetime member of both the Hyde VFC and the former 2nd Ward VFC (now the Clearfield Fire Department), a former member of the FOE Clearfield Eagles and he always worked for the Clearfield County Fair and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
On October 1, 1959 he wed the former Mary E. Rader who survives along with five children. Twins Ronald L. Neeper and wife Polly and Randal L. Neeper and companion Kathy Leigey both of Clearfield; Theresa Treantafellou, Robert L. Neeper and wife Cindy and Jess E. Neeper and wife Marcie all of Hyde.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren 2 sisters and a brother. May Irene Powers and husband Thomas of Mt. Airey, MD, Violet Arlene Neeper and companion Blaine Billotte and Truman “Mike” Neeper Jr. both of Clearfield. In addition, he is survived by a lifelong childhood friend Wilbur “Snooks” Lines as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Edward Neeper and a grandson Sean Ryan.
Funeral Services for Howard Neeper will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Saturday July 30, 2016 at 3:00 PM with Mr. Gary B. Jewart officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until time of services at 3 PM.
