Brockway: Irene V. Cook 102, of Curwensville passed away Friday November 29, 2024 at Highland View Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Brockway.
Born April 25, 1922 in Coitsville, OH she was the daughter of Edward Belin and Verna Munchak. She had worked at Ames and Kmart as a Supervisor and Cashier.
She was affiliated with St. Timothy R.C.C.
She is survived by 2 daughters of Judy E. Hall (Roger) Surfside Beach, SC and Verene L. Pent (Timothy) of Ephrata, PA. A daughter-in-law Dorothy Spencer of DuBois, PA. Seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two great great grandsons. And numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband William Spencer, second husband Herman Cook, son William “Stretch” Spencer, a step daughter Nancy Barrett, brother Anthony Munchak and a sister Gloria Spencer.
Friends and family will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Curwensville on Tuesday December 10, 2024 from Noon to 2 PM. Interment will be held in the Friends Cemetery in Grampian.
