Irvin Duane Maines 73 of Morrisdale passed away Tuesday June 16, 2009 at Golden Living Years Nursing Home in Shippenville PA. Â
Born June 25, 1935 in Shiloh PA he was the son of Nehemiah and Belle (Bumbarger) Maines. He worked for Piper Aircraft as a Logger. He was a member of the NRA, and North American Hunting Club.  Â
He is survived by 5 children Douglas Maines and his wife Melissa of Morrisdale, Danielle King of Clearfield and daughters Carol, Carolyn, and Alice Marie Davis. 2 grandchildren Hunter and Rhonda Maines. 5 brothers and sisters Lillian Kephart, Sue Zack, Vivian Gisewhite all of Clearfield, L.R. Maines of Texas, and Charlotte Thompson of MD. Â
He was preceded in death by his wife Avanell Hummell and 12 brothers and sisters. Â
Services for Mr. Maines will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Clearfield on Saturday June 20, 2009 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Karen Allen officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery. Â
Friends will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc of Clearfield on Friday June 19, 2009 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and on Saturday from 10-11:00 AM. Â
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17 Chicago, Ill. 60601-7633Â Â
