Jean A. Elensky
Curwensville: Jean A. Elensky 77, of Curwensville passed away Sunday June 25, 2023 after a short illness.
Born January 29, 1946 in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of Clarence and Violet (Benjamin) Rowles. She worked at Clearfield Cheese Co., JC Penny, and Croft Fruit Market at various times. She had attended Lighthouse Church in West Decatur.
She enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, cooking, needlepoint, and being with her family.
On March 17, 1961 in Bloomington she wed Walter “Sonny” Elensky Jr. who survives of Bloomington along with 3 children Timothy Elensky, Wendy Elensky, and Bradley Elensky all of Curwensville. Along with 2 grandchildren J.T. Elensky (Krista) of Curwensville, and Miranda Elensky of Florida. 3 great grandchildren Brantley Elensky, Chandler Elensky, and Madilyn Thomas. Brothers and sisters Harry Rowles (Gloria), Kenneth Rowles (Norma “Ruth”) all of Clearfield, Janice Howell and significant other Walter Stucke of Olanta, and Walter Rowles (April) of Houston TX.
There will be no public viewing or services.
Private graveside services will be held at Bloomington Cemetery with Pastor Jared Ballou officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
