Obituary for Jeannine Ann Bowman
Jeannine Ann Bowman, 87, of Curwensville, passed away Thursday March 8, 2018 at her residence after a lengthy illness.
Born October 12, 1930 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Thomas Bain and Sylvia Celeste (Thompson) Smith. Mrs. Bowman had been a homemaker.
She was a member of the Curwensville Alliance Church where she was a member of the G C Women’s Group and was a “Prayer Warrior” praying for everybody and everything. She loved her family, enjoyed dressing up and was well known for her church hats. Her pastimes included swimming and walking.
On April 25, 1952 she wed Milford Walter Bowman who preceded her in death on February 10, 2018. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister Nancy Smith Sass and two brothers Faye E. and R.K. Smith. She was the last member of her generation.
Surviving are four children: Autumn Howell and husband Doug, Holly Bowman and Ashley Bowman all of Curwensville and Rhett Bowman of New Millport. Also surviving are five grandchildren and four great grandchildren
At the request of Mr. Bowman there will be no public visitation.
Private Funeral Services for Mrs. Bowman will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville at the convenience of the family with the Reverend Stephen D. Shields officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville.
