Obituary for Jerry James Barrett
Jerry James Barrett, 71, of Curwensville, passed away Monday August 26, 2013 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
 
Born January 26, 1942 in Bells Landing, Greenwood Township, he was the son of Albert and Mabel (Dickey) Barrett.  Mr. Barrett had been a truck driver having worked for Butler Trucking in Woodland.
 
He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Teamsters, the Curwensville American Legion, the Curwensville L.O.O.M., Curwensville VFW, and the Curwensville Rescue Hose and Ladder Co.
 
Surviving is his son Jody J. Barrett and his wife Kristine of Pittsburgh, 2 grandchildren Jerry Barrett and Taylor Fida, 2 step grandchildren Ben and Daniel Simcox, a brother Donald Barrett and wife Hannah of Stronach, a son-in-law Jack Fida of Curwensville, his former wife Carol Ann (Norris) Maney of Treasure Lake, and a sister-in-law Sandy Barrett.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Jerrie Ann Fida, a brother Cloyde Barrett, and an infant brother John Barrett.
 
Services for Mr. Barrett will be held at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. of Curwensville on Friday August 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM, with Reverend M. Bruce Dimmick officiating.
 
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday August 29 from 6 to 8 PM, and Friday from 10 AM until time of services
