Obituary for Jerry James Rainey
Jerry James Rainey, 82, of Clearfield, passed away Monday December 5, 2022 at Penn Highlands Hospital – DuBois.
Born March 19, 1940 in Ferguson Township, Clearfield County, he was the son of Herbert and Charlotte Mae (Jones) Rainey. Mr. Rainey was retired from Soult Wholesale Company after thirty-three years of service.
He was a member of the Congress Hill United Methodist Church in LeContes Mills.
On August 24, 1985 in Kylertown, he wed the former Patricia Shirey, who survives along with five children: Nichole “Nikki” Rainey and Neva Baney both of Hyde; Ronald Korb and Arthur Korb and wife Stacey both of Shiloh, and Penny Frelin of Clearfield.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Joyce Williams.
Friends and family will be received at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home, Inc. * 16 N Front Street * Clearfield, PA on Friday December 9, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Congress Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
