Obituary for Jewel Lynn Thigpen
Jewell Lynn Thigpen, 58, of Clearfield, and formerly of Texas, passed away Monday December 26, 2011 at her residence in the Henry Myers Towers on Leavy Avenue.
 
Born November 27, 1953 in Houston, she was the daughter of Charles E. and Ruby M. (Sanchez) Preston.  Ms. Thigpen has previously worked as a nurses aide in Houston, TX.

She was Roman Catholic by Faith.
 
Surviving are 6 brothers and sisters: Carolyn Mendoza and her husband Charles, Charles Preston Jr. and Thomas Preston and his wife Denise all of Houston, TX, Edwina Bozeman of Spring, TX, Nina Coleman and her husband Ken of Tomball, TX, and Nona King and her husband Larry of Humble, TX.  Other family members include Laura Baldwin and Keith Williams.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents.
 
There will be no public visitation, interment will be in the Restlawn Cemetery, Houston, TX.
 
A Memorial Service for Ms. Thigpen will be held at the Henry Myers Towers at a later date
 
The family suggests contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
